We are a long standing integral part of the motor trade in the Sussex Area. In 1996 we celebrated our 50th anniversary and with a strong loyal customer base and second to none service, are set fair for the next 50 years.
The company started modestly in Kemp Town, Brighton in 1946, when Douglas Clifford and his wife Eileen started buying sackfuls of loose assorted nuts and bolts, sorting them to type and size and selling them on. Soon car components joined the product range and Cliffords of Brighton grew steadily to where it is today.
The secret of our success has been that special brand of personal service that a family business can offer, coupled with the ability to provide items 'off the shelf' when the customer needs them. Customers visit regularly from as far as Worthing, Eastbourne and Crawley and further afield knowing that Cliffords will have what they need. Equally as motor factor specialists we receive enquiries from all over the country and welcome yours.
Lifestyles are very different nowadays, but we have moved with the times.
Pricing has been an important factor in our companies development. That doesn't necessarily mean that Cliffords want to be the cheapest. In most cases we probably are, but what we offer above all is value for money.
Our close-knit team has an enviable depth of experience and customers over the years have enjoyed continuity of service from long serving members of staff.
We cannot predict what the next 50 years might hold for the motor trade, but we have every confidence that Cliffords of Brighton will continue to provide the service that counts.
